Straight answers about live jersey printing

The questions planners actually ask on a first call, answered without hedging. If yours is not here, call the crew — we would rather talk than trade emails.

Quick

The short version of everything else

Can you really print jerseys live at an event?

Yes, and it is the only thing this crew is set up to do. Presses, tablet intake and transfer stock come into your footprint. A guest personalizes at a tablet, the ticket goes to a lane, an operator presses it, and the jersey is game-ready before they leave. Nothing ships afterwards.

What method is used to print names and numbers on jerseys?

Full-color DTF transfers applied with a heat press. Modern jerseys are polyester — slick tricot, textured knits, open mesh, sublimated panels — and DTF is what holds on all of it while still moving at live-line speed. Twill, tackle twill and embroidery are available where a heritage look is wanted, but those are applied before the event.

How long can a name on a jersey be?

About nine characters. Numbers run one to three digits. Past nine letters the name either shrinks until it reads like a label or the letter spacing collapses across the back. We put the limit on the tablet screen before the guest types, which turns it into a non-event.

Do you travel outside Southern California?

Yes. We are based in Orange County and regularly work Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas, with nationwide travel available. Travel is $0 inside OC, LA and SD and $900 beyond, with freight and lodging added for programs further out.

What sizes do you stock?

Adult XS through 3XL at guest-facing events. Each size can be capped in the intake system, so when the last large is claimed, large disappears from the guest picker instead of being promised and then withdrawn at the counter. Youth cuts are available on league work when you tell us in advance.

Can guests choose more than a name and number?

Yes, within reason. Garment color, print location (back, front, sleeve) and a short menu of design choices are all configurable per event. We push for a short menu on purpose — every extra decision at the tablet is time the whole queue behind that guest pays for.

What if the line gets long?

The supervisor has three levers: open another lane, cap the queue so no ticket is accepted that cannot clear before close, or switch premium tiers to text-when-ready so guests browse instead of standing. The queue board shows pending work per lane in real time, which is what makes those calls possible mid-event.
